Last week I headed home, to South Canterbury, NZ. I knew it would be about 8 degrees colder than Wellington, frosts and crisp air. But there would be a fire warming every night, and homemade meals. I had venison, duck and salmon. Very spoiled. Here is a collection of photo's from my trip home. Above is the sunrise on the way to Mt Hutt skifield for a day of skiing.

The top of the mountain.
At home, the cats lay languidly infront of the fire. This is Belle, or Tinkerbell, my brother & sister-in-law's cat who is staying with my parents for a while.
Neo's massive paws, he's not even two yet, and he's huge. My brother and I bought him for my parents Christmas of 2010. He used to be so tiny. That Christmas he fell asleep draped on my chest while I tried to digest the meal.
Attack of Neo.
Our wintery back yard. The yellow weeping willow is where I used to go to think and ponder life.
The way to Christchurch for my flight the fog was just lifting - it made for some beautiful shots.
